Chelsea and Geoff’s under the sea wedding at the Florida Aquarium was so fun with lots of purple and silver, glass blown fish centerpieces and lots of candy. This one is a little more special to us because Geoff is the son of a couple of our best friends, Peggy and Dan. We were so happy to be able to be a part of this wedding. Describe your wedding planning process Planning was pretty stress free because I am an organizer. I just made to do lists and got things done in advance.
What advice would you give to future brides for their wedding day? Don’t procrastinate and remember that it’s your day so you don’t have to worry about everyone else.
Anything you would have done differently? I would have spent more time with each guest and taken more photos in the photo booth.I wouldn’t have taken the topper off of the cake to cut it because it’s not going to be in any of the photos from the cake cutting. I would have eaten wedding cake!
Most memorable moment during the planning process Dress shopping… it took forever and I was not very decisive.What are you most looking forward to as a married couple? I look forward to seeing where life takes us and Mr. and Mrs. Dwyer. I look forward to telling people that this fabulous man is my husband.
Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos? The penguins, the bouquet toss, and the dances.
What was your wedding inspiration? I was inspired to do something that was different, something that would stand out from the traditional wedding.
Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them I loved the centerpieces- I have a sweet tooth and I wanted candy at the wedding so I came up with the idea to do the centerpieces as our candy bar and then my mom and sister came up with the design from there. They found one of the glass blown fishes at TJMAXX and then we all went shopping to find more. We used my mothers dress for a lot of the decorations. My cake table cloth, my garter, and all of the baskets were made with the lace from her dress. The cake topper was inspired by mothers wedding as well… she had a glass blown topper and special ordered this one for us.The veil that I wore was my mothers veil. She redesigned the whole thing to make it more modern so it was perfect for our wedding. My bouquet was made of brooches… many of which were given to me from friends and family and even had the jewelry that my sister wore on her wedding day in it. The handkerchief I carried belonged to my great grandmother so that was a special detail. I love how the hangover kits turned out and how the guests were able to get them on the way out. I saw kits online and I was inspired to create my own. The sand castle card box was made for me by a co worker. She gifted it to me and I absolutely loved it. She sells them on etsy. The lotto ticket throw bouquet was perfect. It was made by my sister and could not have turned out better. Girls actually wanted to catch it!
